The incident occurred at approximately 6:28 AM on September 7, 2024, involving a white truck and an unidentified white sedan. Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene, with units arriving shortly after the initial report.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision caused a blockage in lane #1, necessitating a traffic break to manage the flow of vehicles. One individual sustained a laceration to the back of the head and was treated by paramedics on-site before being transported to a local hospital. The vehicles involved were moved to the right-hand shoulder to clear the roadway, and a tow truck was called to remove the damaged vehicles.
