An early morning traffic collision on State Route 9, approximately one mile from State Route 35 near Saratoga, California, has resulted in multiple injuries. The incident occurred at around 3:27 AM on September 22, 2024, when a vehicle veered off the road and plunged 400 feet down an embankment. Emergency services, including the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office and fire department, responded promptly to the scene.

Initial reports indicate that four to five individuals were involved in the accident, with some being ejected from the vehicle. Three of the injured parties were found 100 feet down the embankment. Other motorists stopped to assist until emergency personnel arrived. Heavy tow services were requested to retrieve the vehicle, but availability issues delayed the process.

The injured individuals were attended to by paramedics and transported to nearby hospitals. The extent of their injuries remains unclear at this time. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident and urge drivers to exercise caution when traveling on winding roads, especially during early morning hours when visibility is low.
