Fatal Collision on SR113 Claims Lives, Causes Traffic Disruptions

A tragic accident occurred on the evening of March 25, 2025, on State Route 113 between Hay Road and Fry Road in the city of Dixon. The incident, reported at approximately 7:42 PM, involved a collision between two vehicles, resulting in a fatality. Emergency services, including fire units and the coroner, were promptly dispatched to the scene.

The collision led to a vehicle fire, which bystanders attempted to extinguish before the arrival of fire services. Unfortunately, despite these efforts, the accident resulted in the loss of life. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time.

As a result of the incident, SR113 was closed in both directions for several hours to allow for investigation and cleanup. Traffic was diverted to nearby roads, causing significant delays. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes and exercise caution in the area. Authorities are working diligently to clear the scene and restore normal traffic flow.
