A hit-and-run collision involving three vehicles occurred late Monday night on Interstate 880 South near the 29th Avenue offramp in Oakland. The incident was reported at approximately 11:20 PM and involved a BMW, a Toyota RAV4, and a Toyota Scion. According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of one of the vehicles fled the scene on foot, prompting a search by law enforcement.

The collision resulted in significant damage to the vehicles, with the BMW sustaining major front-end damage and the Nissan Maxima suffering major rear damage. Emergency services responded promptly, and all vehicles were moved off the freeway to the 29th Avenue offramp to clear the lanes. Tow services were dispatched to handle the removal of the damaged vehicles.
