SAN LEANDRO, CA — A serious multi-vehicle collision occurred early Saturday morning on Interstate 580 East near the 150th Avenue offramp, resulting in significant injuries and traffic disruptions. The incident, which took place at approximately 12:15 AM, involved at least five vehicles, including a black BMW sedan, a white Toyota Sienna, and multiple SUVs.

Emergency services, including the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and local fire departments, responded swiftly to the scene. One driver, a female in the black BMW, was transported to Washington Hospital at 2000 Mowry Avenue by Medic 368 for medical treatment. The extent of her injuries remains undisclosed at this time. The collision caused major damage to several vehicles and blocked multiple lanes, leading to significant traffic delays.

Authorities have cleared the scene, but the incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety. Drivers are urged to exercise caution, especially during late-night hours when visibility is reduced.
