A serious traffic collision involving three vehicles occurred on the eastbound State Route 4 at the Sand Creek Road offramp in Brentwood on the evening of January 17, 2025. The incident, reported at approximately 6:21 PM, resulted in one vehicle overturning multiple times before coming to rest on its roof. Emergency services, including the California Highway Patrol and local fire department, responded promptly to the scene.

Initial reports indicate that the driver of the overturned vehicle, a solo female occupant, was assisted out of the vehicle by a passerby. Fortunately, she was able to exit the vehicle with assistance, and no immediate life-threatening injuries have been reported. The collision appears to have been caused by a driver who did not realize traffic was slowing, leading to a crash into the right-hand side wall and subsequent overturning.

The accident caused significant traffic delays in the area as emergency responders worked to clear the scene.
