Postal Truck Collision with Utility Pole in Morgan Territory Leaves Driver Hospitalized

Anderson Franco Law

A United States Postal Service truck collided with a utility pole on Morgan Territory Road near Manning Road in Morgan Territory, California, on the afternoon of February 4, 2025. The incident occurred at approximately 2:14 PM, resulting in significant damage to the right side of the vehicle and blocking all lanes of traffic.

Emergency services responded promptly to the scene, and the driver, who was found breathing but unresponsive, was transported to Eden Medical Center for treatment. The collision led to the closure of the intersection at Manning and Morgan Territory, causing traffic disruptions in the area. Authorities coordinated with Allen’s Towing to remove the damaged vehicle from the scene.

Residents and commuters are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes while cleanup and repairs are underway. Our thoughts are with the driver and their family during this difficult time, and we hope for a swift recovery.

Potential Legal Considerations

When someone gets hurt because of another person’s carelessness, it is called negligence. In these cases, the person who got hurt, called the victim, might have the right to get help or money for what happened. To prove negligence, the victim needs to show that the other person had a duty to be careful, did not act carefully, and that this lack of care caused the harm. For example, if a driver does not pay attention and causes an accident, they might be responsible for the harm caused.

Victims of negligence can often make claims to get money for their troubles. This money can help cover things like medical bills or other costs that came up because of the incident. Sometimes, the person who caused the harm has insurance that can help pay for these costs. For example, if a car accident happens, the driver’s car insurance might cover the damages. The victim can file a claim with the insurance company to try to get this money.

Insurance claims can be a big part of getting help after an accident. The victim or their family might need to talk to the insurance company to explain what happened and why they need help. It is important to keep records of everything related to the incident, like medical visits or repair bills, to show the insurance company. If the insurance company agrees, they might pay for some or all of the costs. If they do not agree, the victim might need to talk to a lawyer to help them get what they deserve.
