A serious traffic collision occurred on Interstate 80 East near the Cummings Skyway offramp in Crockett, California, at approximately 1:01 PM on September 9, 2024. The incident involved a white SUV that flipped over and a gray SUV, resulting in significant traffic disruptions and multiple injuries.

Emergency responders, including units from the California Highway Patrol and local fire departments, were promptly dispatched to the scene. Initial reports indicate that a motorcycle was also involved, though no lanes were blocked. A good Samaritan in a blue Tesla was among the first to assist at the scene. Medical personnel were requested and arrived shortly after to provide necessary care to the injured parties.

The collision caused substantial delays on I-80 East, with lanes 1 and 2 being temporarily blocked. The Department of Transportation was notified to assist with traffic management and clearing the scene. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and seek alternate routes if possible.
