Traffic Collision on I-880 in San Leandro Causes Major Delays
A traffic collision involving multiple vehicles disrupted traffic on Interstate 880 southbound near Davis Street in San Leandro late Thursday night. The incident, which occurred around 11:13 PM on July 24, 2025, involved a solo vehicle colliding with debris and a subsequent two-vehicle collision. Emergency services, including the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and local fire units, responded promptly to the scene.
The collision resulted in significant debris scattered across the lanes, leading to the closure of all southbound lanes initially.
