Traffic Collision on Redwood Road Leaves Three Injured, Including Child

A serious traffic collision occurred on Redwood Road near Marciel Road in Oakland on the evening of September 8, 2024, resulting in injuries to three pedestrians, including a juvenile. The incident took place at approximately 6:18 PM when a dark blue SUV collided with an unknown vehicle, causing the SUV to roll down an embankment.

Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene, with fire and medical personnel arriving within minutes. The collision left one juvenile with a broken leg and other victims suffering from broken bones and lacerations. The injured were transported to Children’s Hospital for further treatment. The road was temporarily blocked to allow emergency personnel to work efficiently, but it was reopened later in the evening.

Authorities have advised drivers to exercise caution when traveling through the area, especially near embankments and roadside pedestrian zones. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time.
