A traffic collision occurred on the morning of February 10, 2025, on State Route 4 westbound near Port Chicago Highway in Concord, California. The incident was reported at approximately 11:06 AM, involving an unknown vehicle that veered off the roadway. Emergency services, including the California Highway Patrol and medical personnel, were dispatched to the scene.

The collision resulted in moderate injuries to an individual, who was found with a possible broken arm. The vehicle was located approximately 200 feet away from the roadway, under the SR4 overpass, with the best access point identified as the San Marco off-ramp. Arrowhead Tow was requested to assist in vehicle recovery.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, which appears to have occurred overnight. Motorists are advised to exercise caution when traveling through the area and to be aware of ongoing recovery operations. Our thoughts are with the injured individual, and we wish them a swift recovery.

Potential Legal Considerations

When someone gets hurt because of another person’s carelessness, it’s called negligence. In these cases, the person who got hurt might have the right to get help or money for what happened. To prove negligence, the injured person has to show that the other person had a duty to be careful, didn’t do their duty, and that this caused the injury. For example, if someone is driving a car, they have a duty to follow traffic rules and drive safely. If they don’t, and someone gets hurt, the driver might be responsible.

Victims of negligence can often make claims to get money to help with things like medical bills or other costs that come from the incident. This is where insurance can come in. Many people have insurance for their cars, homes, or businesses, which can help pay for these claims. If the person who caused the injury has insurance, the victim might be able to get money from the insurance company. This can make it easier for the victim to get the help they need without having to pay out of their own pocket.

It’s important for victims to know their rights and to talk to someone who understands the law, like a lawyer, to help them with their claim. A lawyer can help explain what kind of help the victim might be able to get and can talk to the insurance company for them. This can be really helpful because insurance companies sometimes try to pay as little as possible. Having someone on your side who knows the law can make a big difference in getting fair treatment.

In summary, when someone is hurt because of another person’s negligence, they have rights to seek help and possibly get money to cover their costs. Insurance can play a big role in this process, and having legal help can ensure that victims get what they deserve. It’s important for victims to act quickly and understand their rights to make sure they are protected.
