A traffic collision involving two vehicles occurred on northbound Interstate 280 just south of the Mariposa Street offramp at approximately 4:42 PM on August 27, 2024. The incident involved a gray Jeep and a black SUV, resulting in significant traffic disruption and injuries.

Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene, with the driver of the black vehicle requesting medical assistance for neck pain. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and San Francisco Fire Department responded, and the injured driver was attended to by paramedics. The collision blocked the number one lane, causing delays for commuters during the evening rush hour.

Authorities have since cleared the scene, and traffic flow has resumed. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and remain vigilant while driving, especially in areas prone to congestion. Our thoughts are with the injured driver and their family during this difficult time.
