Vehicle Collision on Lakeville Highway Sends One to Hospital

A traffic collision occurred on Lakeville Highway near Sleepy Hollow Dairy Road in the city of Petaluma on the afternoon of April 28, 2025. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:34 PM following reports of a vehicle that had veered off the road and landed 15 feet down and 20 feet off the roadway into a creek.

The driver, who managed to exit the vehicle, sustained a wrist injury and was attended to by an off-duty California Fire Department member who happened to be nearby. Emergency medical services were promptly en route, and the injured individual was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The California Highway Patrol and CAL FIRE units were also on the scene to assist with the incident.

This accident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for drivers to remain vigilant, especially on rural highways.
